If I had to choose between Lauren Conrad’ Style and Beauty,
I would choose Beauty. I really enjoyed Style but I enjoyed Beauty even more.
After reading her Beauty book I realized that my interests are geared a little
bit more towards makeup than fashion (only by a little J). I loved how she
showed everything with pictures. Lauren does a good job of highlighting
different makeup related topics including:
-Contouring
-Highlighting
-Reviewing The Different Makeup Brushes and their Uses
-Hair
I loved the diversity in the models she featured in her book
as well. It was refreshing to see that she was conscious enough to address
concerns for specific complexions and hair types. She made makeup seem so
simple by breaking things down step-by-step. I will be adding this book to my
own collection as well in the future. The last section of the book that
features styles by decade (e.g. the 30’s, 40’s, and 70’s) is also fun! Check
